Not all structured cabling systems are created alike and poorly designed or installed systems can lead to network failure, loss of speed and instability, which affects the way you do business.
Cabling lies at the heart of your voice and data network and as such, should be built to appropriate standards by accredited and experienced engineers. Whether you're choosing copper or fibre cabling, Charm can help you to build the right network for your needs.
We'll help you to understand your requirements, both now and for the future and design a network that's scaleable, cost effective and most importantly, on that's just right for you.
Any stable data, telephony or video network is based on the quality of its cabling infrastructure. Structured cabling is extremely versatile and can carry voice, data or video in any format. Furthermore, it allows you to make changes by simply and quickly without the need to call out an engineer.
Our fibre cabling installation portfolio includes the certified design, installation and support of the following:
- Cat 5e UTP/FTP/STP Structured Cabling
- Cat 6 UTP/STP Structured Cabling
- Cat 7 STP Structured Cabling
- Coaxial Cabling

Despite being highly versatile, copper cable cannot be used for all types of wired networking requirements. It has a 'maximum run' limit of 90 meters in length and aside from specialised external grade cabling, is mostly only suitable for internal wiring.
Thus, copper cabling is rarely used in campus, or multi-building environments, where links need to be run externally.
Any environments where copper cable cannot be used (and a wired network is preferred over a Laser or Wireless link), requires the use of Fibre Optic Cabling.
Fibre cabling ordinarily comes in three types;
- Single Mode: Generally used for long distances>
- Multimode: Used in most environments>
- Blown Fibre: Used on sites were consolidation points can be more cost effective>
Charm have years of experience installing fibre optic networks for connections between campus buildings, Fibre to the Desk (FTTD) and Server Room Fibre architecture.
